No Power.
Red LED doesn't light up.
|
EB22 Intensity Knob is off.
|
Turn on the Intensity knob. If the red Power
light is on, then the EB22 unit is on and all
functions are receiving power.
Note: Do not turn past 2 if there is no load (always make sure
pads are connected and in place before turning on the power).
|
Still No Power
Red LED doesn't light up.
|
Power connection
|
Check to see if power cord is connected. One end
should be plugged into the 10-18VDC jack on the EB22, and the other
end should be plugged into an electrical outlet.
Make sure they are plugged in all the way. A loose connection can
interfere with performance.
Also verify that the electrical outlet is functioning properly. If
using a power strip, make sure it is turned on.
|
Red LED lights up, but no power to the pads
|
Sound source not loud enough
|
Make sure the computer (or other sound source) is putting
out sound, and the volume is up. The EB22 does not produce
its own sound. It relies on the sound provided through the audio
cable.

No Sound
No Green Umph Light
|
Audio sound cable is disconnected.
|
Check to see if audio cable is connected.
One end should be plugged into the Sound jack, the other end should
be plugged into the headphone jack on your computer (often identified
by a headphone symbol, or by its green color).
Don't worry about which end of the audio cable is correct. Both
ends are identical.
Once the cable is connected, and the power is on, the green Umph
light indicates the intensity of the power running through the EB22.
As the intensity is turned up, the light will gradually grow
stronger, and blink with the sound.
Note: Do not turn past 2 if there is no load (always make sure
pads are connected and in place before turning on the power).

Pads are working, but sound cannot be heard
|
EB22 Speaker Knob is off
|
To hear the sound, turn the speaker knob to Max,
then adjust to a comfortable sound level.
Note: The Speaker Knob does not adjust the Pads Output or green Umph
light.
It only adjusts the loudness of the internal speaker. It is used to
listen to the audio signal produced by the Intensity Knob.
|
Still no sound.
|
No sound from a sound source (computer, etc.).
|
Turn on and/or increase volume from sound source
(computer, etc.)
Note: Too high a volume from the sound source can cause
distortion. Best results are typically obtained at a low to medium
volume.

Solution

No Output on Pads.
|
Pads not connected.
|
Check to see if pads are connected. The pads
should be securely connected to the two plugs found at one end of the
white stereo cable. The other end of the stereo cable should be
plugged into the Pads jack on the EB22.
Make sure they are plugged in all the way. A loose connection can
interfere with performance.
Note: Make sure that the two pads do not touch each other while
being powered.
|
No Output on Pads or Pads are Producing Shocks. |
Dry or Defective Pads |
Rehydrate or replace the Pads.
Pads can become dry. This can cause a resistance between the
Pads and the load. Rehydrate the Pads by rubbing several drops of
water onto the Pads to restore the adhesive gel (check the
packaging for the pads, as they will often come with care
instructions).
With rough handling and/or heavy use,
the wires inside can break. When this happens, the high voltage
will arc across the broken gap and cause shocks similar to static
electricity discharges. This is not dangerous but can be quite
irritating. The only solution is to replace the pads. The kit
comes with extra pads, and they can also be ordered separately.
